Peter Frampton continues backing 'Fingerprints'

Peter Frampton returns to the road this summer to deliver his hits and to continue to support "Fingerprints," the 2006 release that earned the veteran rocker a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album.

The US outing begins with a July 17 performance at Kingsport, TN's Fun Fest, followed by stops at pavilions, fairgrounds and casinos in 23 cities. The run wraps up on the West Coast with a Sept. 20 performance in Agoura Hills, CA. Details are below.

"Fingerprints," which surfaced in September 2006, marks Frampton's first all-instrumental album and features a handful of special guests, including Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, former Stones bassist Bill Wyman and Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Matt Cameron.

"This is the CD I've been waiting to make all my life," the performer said in a press release. "Every track has been a wonderful challenge, pushing me to raise my own bar again and again."

Frampton's break-through album, "Frampton Comes Alive!," surfaced in 1976 and featured his signature talk-box guitar effect on "Show Me The Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do."
