Alt-rockers Eagles of Death Metal have lined up new summer dates as they continue to support their latest studio effort, last year's "Heart On."
The band, led by the dynamic duo of Jesse "Boots Electric" Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua "Babyduck" Homme, gets things started July 20 with the first of back-to-back shows in Vancouver, British Columbia. After a 10-city excursion through Canada, the trek winds up with a slate of US East Coast shows in early August. Dates are included below.
"Heart On," which surfaced last October, features a host of guests, including Distillers frontwoman (and Homme's wife) Brody Dalle and celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D. The album's first single, "Wanna Be in LA," is streaming at the duo's MySpace page, along with video clips that give fans a look into the making of the record.
The album follows EODM's most recent studio set, 2006's "Death By Sexy ...," which broke into The Billboard 200 and reached No. 11 on the Top Independent Albums chart.
"Wannabe in LA" peaked at No. 38 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
Homme's other going concern, Queens of the Stone Age, released their most recent studio album, "Era Vulgaris," in 2007.
