Bob Dylan
"Together Through Life"
(Columbia)
The songwriting legend is ready to unveil his 33rd studio album. "Together Through Life" was produced by Dylan, under the pseudonym "Jack Frost," the same name the rock legend used on his two previous studio outings, 2001's "Love and Theft" and 2006's "Modern Times."
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who turns 68 next month, is backed on the 10-track "Together Through Life" by his longtime touring band as well as special guests David Hidalgo (Los Lobos) and Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers).
Heaven and Hell
"The Devil You Know"
(Rhino)
The band of metal masters--vocalist Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice--give their fans something to wave their devil fists in the air about with "The Devil You Know."
Heaven and Hell, which is commonly referenced by fans as the "Dio-led version of Black Sabbath," began recording new material in 2007. The initial goal was only to produce two new songs for Rhino's compilation "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years." Yet, inspiration struck, and the result is the 10-track "The Devil You Know," the first full-length studio offering from this particular band of musicians since the 1992 Black Sabbath disc "Dehumanizer."
NOFX
"Coaster"
(Fat Wreck Chords)
The San Francisco Bay Area punk band, which formed in 1983, returns with its 11th full-length studio record. "Coaster" follows 2006's "Wolves in Wolves' Clothing." NOFX is set to support "Coaster" by taking part in this year's edition of the popular Warped Tour.
Collin Raye
"Never Going Back"
(Warner Bros.)
The cowboy crooner was a constant fixture on the charts in the '90s, but he hasn't had a single crack the country Top 40 since 2000. Thus, he's hoping that "Never Going Back" brings him back to the top of the charts. The work, which was recorded in Alabama's historic Muscle Shoals studio, is Raye's first full-length studio outing since 2005's "Twenty Years and Change."
Melody Gardot
"My One and Only Thrill"
(Verve)
The much-buzzed-about jazz singer is set to release her third studio album. "My One and Only Thrill," which follows 2008's "Worrisome Heart," was helmed by Grammy-winning producer Larry Klein.
