
update: The Deftones have added more than a dozen dates to their upcoming fall tour with Incubus and Taproot , according to a press release from the group. The band’s Back to School tour is scheduled to kick off on Oct. 13 in Seattle and comprises 28 shows extending into late-November.
New dates on the band’s latest itinerary include stops in Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Little Rock, Ark., Jacksonville, Fla., Atlanta, Chicago, Montreal, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Also, an Oct. 26 show now follows the Oct. 25 show at The Joint in Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel.
In addition to the new stops on the tour, some previously scheduled dates have been changed: the Nov. 14 show in Toronto has now been moved to Nov. 13, and the Nov. 24 show in New York City has been moved to a two-night stand on Nov. 19-20.
December dates are expected, according to band's press release.
The Deftones are touring in support of “White Pony” (Maverick), which was released in June. The album was certified gold on Sept. 7 by the Recording Industry Association of America, signifying shipment of over 500,000 copies.
On Monday (9/18), the Deftones announced plans to re-release “White Pony”--with one new track and different cover art--on Oct. 3. According to RollingStone.com, people who already own "White Pony" can access the new track "Back to School (Mini-Magit)" by putting the CD in a CD-ROM drive and following the instructions.
