Indie-rock duo Earlimart [ tickets ], named for a tiny, central California cowtown, has mastered the art of mellow rock with one part easygoing melody, two parts skilled musicianship and the occasional contribution from friends. Made up of bassist/keyboardist Ariana Murray and guitarist, singer and The Ship studio founder Aaron Espinoza, the group has an established discography, dating back to 1999's "Filthy Doorways" and stretching to the pair's most recent release, 2008's "Hymn and Her." The two just wrapped their first tour of Japan and will return to Austin as veteran SXSW artists.
