
San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival, which will take place Feb. 24-March 1 at venues throughout the city, will feature Stephen Malkmus making his Noise Pop solo debut. The 17th annual fest also will feature Josh Ritter , Martha Wainwright , Antony & The Johnsons, No Age , A.C. Newman, Clues, St. Vincent, French Kicks, Ra Ra Riot, Broker West, The Morning Benders and The Submarines, according to a press release.
In addition to live music, Noise Pop 2009 will feature a film festival, gallery art openings and "Industry Noise," a single-day music conference featuring educational panels.
Also returning to the fest for its fourth year will be "Pop 'n' Shop," Noise Pop's take on the local indie designer trunk sale and rock poster show.
