It's A Boy And A Girl For Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony
Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins--a boy and a girl-- just after midnight Feb. 21 in a Long Island hospital, according to a Reuters report.
The children, Lopez's first, are both healthy; the couple's daughter weighed 5.7 pounds and the boy, born second, was 6 pounds. The couple reportedly has sold the exclusive US rights for the first photos of the babies to People and OK! Magazines for $6 million.
Some are asking the question: is it tacky to sell photos of your kids if you don't plan on donating the money to charity? (Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt sold the first photos of their baby Shiloh to People magazine for $4 million, but gave all of the proceeds to charities.) Though it seems tacky, the tabloids have proven more than willing to fork over the cash, whether it is to the parents or to the paparazzi--who would have stalked the couple's every move until getting the big-money photograph.
Christina Aguilera sold her child's photos for a reported $1.5 million, while Nicole Richie received $1 million for shots of her baby, according to Advertising Age.
