Stone Temple Pilots have scrapped their plans to release a greatest hits album this fall, according to published reports. The group has also parted ways with its longtime manager Steve Stewart and has signed on with Q Prime management, according to a Q Prime spokesperson.
Last month, both Stewart and STP guitarist Dean DeLeo told liveDaily that the band was planning to release a greatest hits CD tentatively titled "Big Bang Babies" in late October or early November.
Information on the fate of a DVD containing videos and live footage that Stewart had originally said would be released in conjunction with the greatest hits album was not available at press time.
Some of Q Prime's acts include Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the latter of which STP is currently touring with. The band's jump to Q Prime reportedly took place earlier this week, though Q Prime would not discuss the details surrounding the switch.
Stewart--who had managed STP since its first album "Core" was released--did not return liveDaily's call for comment.
