Rage Reschedules Two San Francisco Club Dates

Rage Against the Machine has rescheduled two San Francisco appearances that were pushed back following last month’s postponement of the band’s tour with Beastie Boys. Rage is now scheduled to appear at the Fillmore on Aug. 21 and 22.

Ticket on-sale information hadn’t been announced at press time. The band’s performances will be recorded for a live album that Epic Records hopes to release in November, according to a label spokesperson.

Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine postponed their planned “Rhyme and Reason” tour last month after the Beastie Boys’ Mike D seriously injured his shoulder in a bicycle accident.

Widespread rumors that Rage will perform at an Aug. 14 protest in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention could not be confirmed.
