LONDON--British guitar band Placebo will release its third album "Black Market Music" on October 9. The 12-track LP is the follow-up to 1998's "Without You I'm Nothing," which sold over a million copies worldwide and peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
The band, which will play at this year's Reading & Leeds Festival on August 26 and 27, has also announced a gig at London's Brixton Academy on October 31. More U.K. dates are to be announced later on the band's official website.
The first single from the new LP was "Taste in Men," currently at No. 39 on the U.K. singles chart. "Black Market Music" also features collaborations with American rapper Justin Warfield, formerly of One Inch Punch, and with Linoleum singer and guitarist Severe Loren.
