Hard-touring country singer Gary Allan has added a slew of shows to his 2009 itinerary, which now stretches through next fall.
The performer, who spent most of 2008 on the road, will resume his tour Jan. 30 in Bossier City, LA, and play a host of casino, fair, club and theater venues through late September. Since last month, Allan has added nearly 30 gigs to the outing, including the June 9 BamaJam in Enterprise, AL, and an Aug. 1 performance at Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. An updated schedule is included below.
Allan continues to support his fall 2007 release, "Living Hard," which reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums list and remains on the chart after 62 weeks. The set has scored hits with "Watching Airplanes" and "Learning How to Bend," and the current single, "She's So California," is holding a Top 30 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. All of those tracks and several videos are streaming at Allan's MySpace page.
The California-bred heartthrob said "Living Hard" is his most rockin' effort to date and contains more of his own songwriting than ever before.
"I just felt like I was growing so much and wanted the music to reflect that," Allan said in a statement. "I think the result has more of an edge."
In 2007, the singer also offered up a best-of collection with two new songs, including crossover hit "A Feelin' Like That." The 15-track "Greatest Hits" set, which followed 2005's "Tough All Over," debuted at the top of Billboard's country albums chart, giving Allan back-to-back No. 1s.
