The hard-charging Rockstar Taste of Chaos festival chugs into its fifth year in February with a lineup topped by post-hardcore rockers Thursday .
Other acts announced for the tour, which kicks off Feb. 14 in Los Angeles and is scheduled to hit 43 cities through April, include Bring Me the Horizon, Four Year Strong, Pierce the Veil and Cancer Bats. Dates are included below.
"After listening to what fans had to say during Warped Tour and watching many of these bands with thousands of fans watching them perform," tour founder Kevin Lyman said in a press statement, "these are the bands rock fans want to see. And I believe they're all on the brink of breakout success."
Pre-sales for the tour begin Dec. 12 in each market. Full ticketing information, including public on-sale dates, can be found at the event's website.
In addition to the music, each venue will once again feature a concourse with activities including video games, acoustic performances, autograph signings and interactive fan activities, according to a press release. Also returning is the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands contest, which will pick the opening act at each tour stop from the winner of a local competition. Ernie Ball representatives will also in attendance at each stop to offer fans hands-on demonstrations of musical instruments.
Previous years' Taste of Chaos lineups have included the likes of My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Rise Against, Deftones, Killswitch Engage, 30 Seconds to Mars and many other acts. Last year's outing featured headliners Avenged Sevenfold, along with Atreyu, Bullet for My Valentine and others.
Headliners Thursday are supporting their latest studio effort, a split set with Japanese screamo act Envy. The record, which dropped into stores last month, follows the band's most recent full-length set of original material, 2006's "A City by the Light Divided."
