Motley Crue marches into 2009 with 'Saints' tour

Motley Crue has laid out plans for its "Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour," which also features Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and The Last Vegas.

The rockers will hit 28 North American cities beginning Feb. 2 in San Diego and ending with a March 18 performance in Portland, ME. Stops include a two-night stand in Las Vegas, a gig at New York City's Madison Square Garden and shows in the Ontario cities of Ottawa and Hamilton. Details are listed below.

Crue fan-club members and American Express Card holders have access to presale tickets starting today (11/14), and tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Nov. 21. Further information is available at the band's website.

"It's great to go back out on a tour like this where the bands are all about returning rock to the forefront of music today," Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil said in a press release.

He added that the Crue is looking forward to introducing fans to The Last Vegas, which won its slot on the arena outing through the Guitar Center: On Stage contest.

Motley Crue bandmates Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee returned to the charts last summer, putting out their first new studio album with their original lineup in more than a decade. "Saints of Los Angeles" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 in July and scored a mainstream rock hit with the title track. A couple of songs from the set are streaming at the band's MySpace page.

The veteran rockers also recently re-issued their complete catalog, which comprises eight studio albums originally released between 1981 and 2000, as well as 17 classic music videos, which are available through digital music outlets.
