Welsh post-hardcore rockers Funeral for a Friend will return to America next year to showcase material from their just-released fourth album, "Memory and Humanity."
The band, which is currently touring Europe, will launch the North American headlining jaunt Jan. 14 in St. Petersburg, FL, and play more than 20 cities from coast to coast through mid-February. The primarily US outing includes stops in Montreal and Toronto. Details are listed below.
The trek will be supported by Long Island post-hardcore outfit The Sleeping and two other acts, which will be announced soon, according to a blog posting at Funeral for a Friend's MySpace page. Tickets are currently on sale.
"Memory and Humanity" marks a return to form for the UK rockers, who moved from their usual hardcore sound to a less abrasive, more radio-friendly style on last year's "Tales Don't Tell Themselves."
Songs from the new set, released by Victory Records in the US, are streaming at Funeral for a Friend's MySpace page.
The band, which has scored several hit singles in the UK, continues to build its fanbase in North America. Last year, FFAF scored a slot on the Van's Warped Tour and headlined a handful of US dates.
