Dr. Dre has made good on a threat to file a federal lawsuit against the city of Detroit following a dispute over a five-minute video that typically opens Dre's "Up In Smoke" tour. The rapper's suit, filed on Friday (6/14) alleges that Dre's civil rights were violated when authorities allegedly threatened to shut down a July 6 concert at the Detroit-owned Joe Louis Arena if the video was shown. The $25 million suit names the city of Detroit, two police officials and the Mayor's press secretary.
On Aug 29, Capitol Records will re-release the first four titles in the Band's catalog: "Music from Big Pink," "The Band ," "Stage Fright" and "Cahoots." The label plans to re-release the Band's entire catalog, remastered and with new liner notes and photos.

Montgomery Gentry kicked off its tour on Thursday (7/13) in Mansfield, Ohio. The country duo will be touring through December 2 and will be stopping at Sturgis, S.D., for the annual motorcycle rally.
