Bow Wow headlines summer outing

Rap star Bow Wow has laid out plans for a summer run of headlining shows that will hit clubs, theaters and sheds across the US.

The trek is scheduled to launch July 14 in New York City and make its way to the West Coast, wrapping Aug. 17 in West Hollywood, CA. The 25-city outing includes stops at 10 House of Blues venues. Details are listed below.

Bow Wow is supporting a couple of releases: his 2006 set, "Price of Fame," and last December's top-selling rap album "Face Off," which pairs Bow Wow with best friend Omarion. In an interview with LiveDaily earlier this year, Bow Wow wasn't shy about touting the "Face Off" project.

"There was chemistry right away between me and O," the 21-year-old performer said. "Anytime you get the chance to work with people you're cool with or you get the chance to work with someone who respects the game just as much as you respect it, nine times out of 10, you'll come up with a masterpiece. That's what me and O came out with."

Hit singles from the album--including "Hey Baby (Jump Off)" and "Girlfriend"--are streaming at Bow Wow's MySpace page.

The young entrepreneur, who is in "The Guinness Book of World Records" as the youngest solo rapper to hit No. 1 on the US charts, is paying it forward, helping emerging artists through his recently launched media company, LBW Entertainment.

Bow Wow is also gearing up for his next film project, as he's been cast in the upcoming basketball drama "Patriots," according to various reports.
