Poison, Dokken, Sebastian Bach team for tour

Poison frontman Brett Michaels apparently will take a break from his search for a woman who'll rock his world in order to hit the road with his bandmates for a summer headlining tour that'll also feature fellow rockers Dokken and Sebastian Bach.

Dubbed the "Live, Raw & Uncut Summer Tour 2008," the outing launches July 3 in Salt Lake City, UT, and is scheduled to touch down in 40 cities through early September. Details are included below.

The roadtrip coincides with the June release of "Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut," a DVD/CD collection that features material culled from the group's 2007 performance at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in the St. Louis area. In addition to the concert footage, the DVD also features a behind-the-scenes segment that "captures all of the mayhem and madness of life on the road," according to a press release. The audio CD, meanwhile, features live versions of hits such as "Nothin' but a Good Time," "Look What the Cat Dragged In" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

"Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut" follows last year's "POISON'D!," a collection of 13 cover songs, including David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." The set debuted at No. 32 on The Billboard 200.

Poison frontman Brett Michaels has maintained a high profile over the past year thanks to his starring role in the VH1 reality series "Rock of Love," which features the singer auditioning a group of women in hopes of finding a girlfriend.

Dokken is gearing up for the May 13 release of "Lightning Strikes Again," the group's first new album in four years, while former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach continues to back his latest solo set, "Angel Down," which surfaced last November.
