Radiohead has nailed down dates and venues for the second leg of its upcoming North American tour, which adds support for the band's worldwide No. 1 album, "In Rainbows."
The new leg of the tour kicks off Aug. 1 in Chicago and hits 14 cities throughout the month, with the trek's initial leg set for liftoff May 5 in West Palm Beach, FL.
Indie rockers Grizzly Bear and Liars will handle opening support for the August dates, with Liars also backing the group on its May stretch. The complete schedule, including 24 dates in 22 cities, is included below.
Radiohead continues to back its most recent set, "In Rainbows," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart, with the retail version of the disc--which hit stores Jan. 1--moving 122,000 copies during its first week out, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album was first released as a name-your-price download.
The album, the British group's seventh studio effort, topped the charts in several countries around the world, including the US and the UK, and spawned a rare hit single for the album-oriented group, with "Bodysnatchers" reaching No. 9 on Billboard's US Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The group's old record label, Capitol/EMI Records, has set a June 3 release date for "Radiohead: The Best Of," a collection of songs exclusively culled from the band's six major-label albums.
Although the collection is billed as the band's first career retrospective, nothing from "In Rainbows" appears on it owing to the group's split from Capitol/EMI in 2004.
