Colbie Caillat lines up new dates behind 'Coco'

Singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat continues to enjoy the rising success of her debut album, last year's "Coco," as she prepares for a new stretch of headlining dates.

Caillat, who initially gained a rabid online following after posting some of her songs--including an early version of the eventual Top 10 single "Bubbly"--on her MySpace page, will kick off the run April 4 in Ivins, UT. The 17-city outing will mostly hit college campuses through its month-long run. All dates are below.

"Coco" hit stores last summer on the heels of Caillat's MySpace success and sold more than 50,000 copies in its debut week. The disc, which has gone on to sell more than 1.3 million copies in the US, followed after she had garnered more than 3.3 million plays of "Bubbly" online and some 11 million profile views, according to her record label, Universal Republic.

Caillat told LiveDaily in November that she was initially timid about putting her music before audiences.

"I was performing every once in awhile at little coffee shops. My friends had to get me to do that. They would have to book the shows for me and tell me that I should play," Caillat said during the interview. "I was nervous. I wanted to do it but I was scared. I'd say, 'I'd rather not do it then do it and be good.' They're like, 'No, you should do it and get over your fears.' Eventually, I started doing it.

"I still get nervous. It comes and goes, though. It's so great because, at the shows, all the fans in the audience, they sing along to every song. It's such a great feeling."
