Alt-rockers 3 Doors Down have added a pile of new dates to their upcoming US tour behind the May release of the band's first studio effort in three years.
The tour, which kicks off March 20 in Panama City Beach, FL, now boasts 27 dates through early summer, with the new shows mainly falling in April and May before the group plans to head out for an international stretch. All of the band's US dates are included below.
The group has been in the studio for the last 11 months working on its fourth album, according to a blog posting at 3 Doors Down's MySpace page. The self-titled set, due May 6, follows 2005's "Seventeen Days," which debuted at the top of The Billboard 200.
The new record's lead single, "It's Not My Time," hit radio stations late last month, rising to No. 8 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Another single from the self-titled set, "Citizen Soldier," was previously released in 2007 in conjunction with a major promotional campaign for the National Guard. The video for the song can be seen streaming at the National Guard's website.
The Mississippi/Nashville-based group has sold 13 million albums since its 2000 debut, "The Better Life," which has gone six-times platinum on the strength of mega hits including "Loser," "Kryptonite," "Duck and Run" and "Be Like That."
