Robert Plant, Alison Krauss map US tour

One month after unveiling plans for a handful of April concerts in the South, recent Grammy winners Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have rolled out the itinerary for a full-blown spring and summer US tour in support of their joint album, "Raising Sand."

The pair will follow the aforementioned April engagements with a month-long string of US shows that kicks off June 2 in Virginia and hits about 20 cities from coast to coast.

Meanwhile, Plant and Krauss have added to their April schedule a second performance in Louisville, KY, which pushes the tour's launch date up one day to April 19, and an April 25 appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Sandwiched between the two batches of US dates is an 11-date run through Europe and the UK. Details for all of the upcoming US shows are listed below, and those for the overseas dates are available at the official Plant/Krauss website.

Tickets for the newly announced US shows will hit the box office March 3, according to organizers.

Backed by a full band led by "Raising Sand" producer T-Bone Burnett, Plant and Krauss will perform selections from their joint album, along with material from their respective catalogs.

Released last October, "Raising Sand" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set spawned the cut "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)," which earlier this month scored Plant and Krauss a Grammy in the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals category.

On April 11, Country Music Television (CMT) will air a preview of Plant and Krauss' upcoming tour in the form of a special dubbed "CMT Crossroads: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss," which will feature performances of several songs from "Raising Sand."
