Brooks & Dunn mix it up on the road

Brooks & Dunn have put together a spring/summer itinerary that covers everything from headlining gigs to co-bills to music festivals.

The country superstars will kick things off this month with their first tour of Australia, and then return stateside in time to perform at the Feb. 17 Daytona 500 pre-show extravaganza in Florida, which will air on FOX-TV.

Brooks & Dunn will launch North American tour dates with a March 22 set at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In April, they'll join Alan Jackson for a slate of Canadian shows before hooking up with Kenny Chesney for a few dates on his Poets & Pirates stadium tour. The duo will also stop by a few festivals and play several shows on the Live Nation Country Megaticket subscription series, which allows fans to reserve the same seat for several country music concerts at venues across the country. Details are listed below.

Brooks & Dunn are supporting their latest set, "Cowboy Town," which surfaced in October and landed at No. 4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The record, produced by the duo and Tony Brown, has been described by Ronnie Dunn as "kind of like cowboys meet the Rolling Stones." Lead single "Proud of the House We Built" and the album's latest offering, "God Must Be Busy," are streaming at Brooks & Dunn's MySpace page.

"Cowboy Town" follows 2005's platinum-selling "Hillbilly Deluxe," which spawned hits including the title track, "Play Something Country" and award-winning singles "Building Bridges" and "Believe."

Together, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have sold more than 30 million records, scored 23 No. 1 hits and are the most-awarded act in Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music history. They won the CMA's Vocal Duo of the Year award 14 times, and finally passed the trophy to Sugarland in November.
