Alicia Keys announces 'As I Am' tour

Alicia Keys is getting ready to support her new hit album, "As I Am," with a lengthy world tour that is scheduled to wind its way through North American arenas this spring and summer.

The nine-time Grammy winner will head out in late February for a month-long trek through Europe, and then start her North American run April 19 in Hampton, VA. She currently has 30 dates on the books all over the US and into Canada through June 18, when she's scheduled to wrap things up at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The North American itinerary is listed below and overseas shows can be found at Keys' website.

Fans can also catch the singer/songwriter/pianist performing Feb. 3 at the Super Bowl XLII pre-game show at Arizona's University of Phoenix Stadium and at the Feb. 10 Grammy Awards ceremony.

"As I Am," Keys' third studio album, marks her fourth consecutive debut atop The Billboard 200 chart. The set, which sold a whopping 742,000 its first week out, has spent multiple weeks in the No. 1 spot since November and is currently holding on to the No. 2 position.

The first couple of singles from the record, "No One" and "Like You'll Never See Me Again," have been burning up the airwaves across pop, mainstream, R&B/hip-hop and adult-contemporary radio genres. "No One" is up for Grammy Awards in the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song categories. Both hits are streaming at Keys' MySpace page.

Since her 2001 debut, "Songs in A Minor," Keys has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. The critically acclaimed debut earned the singer five Grammy Awards and her 2004 followup, "The Diary of Alicia Keys," scored four more.

Keys also put out the 2005 set, "Unplugged," which was recorded as part of MTV's acoustic-oriented series. That album just reached platinum status, according to the performer's website.

In addition to her Grammy nods, Keys has been honored this year with four NAACP Image Award nominations. That ceremony is scheduled to air Feb. 14 on FOX-TV.
