Carrie Underwood piles on more shows

Carrie Underwood has thrown a heap of new headlining dates on top of an itinerary already piled high with a mix of solo shows and co-headlining performances with fellow country star Keith Urban .

Underwood, whose tour with Urban launches Thursday (1/31), has now tucked into the mix a dozen new March and April solo stops that are scattered throughout the Midwest, Northeast and Canada, and complement a previously announced February batch of solo dates. Details for her headlining dates and dual-billed performances with Urban are included below.

Also on Underwood's schedule is a performance at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, which are set to take place Feb. 10 at Los Angeles' Staples Center, and will air live on CBS. In addition to performing, Underwood will also be on hand to see if she can pick up a trophy or two; she is nominated in the Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("Before He Cheats") and Best Country Collaboration with Vocals ("Oh Love" with Brad Paisley") categories.

Underwood, already a two-time Grammy winner, is supporting her sophomore set, "Carnival Ride," which has sold more than 2 million copies since its October release. The album includes the hit single "So Small" and follow-up track "All-American Girl," the music video for the latter of which debuted last week, according to Underwood's website.

One of the most successful artists spawned from Fox-TV's "American Idol" talent show, Underwood recently made history by becoming the No. 1 best-selling female artist across all genres for two years in a row, according to a press release.
