Bruce Springsteen goes full steam ahead in 2008

After extensive tours of the US and Europe last year, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are resting up and getting ready for round two.

Yesterday (1/15), Springsteen's new single, "Girls in Their Summer Clothes," was released as a bundle deal exclusively through Apple's iTunes Music Store. The bundle includes the Mark Pellington-directed video for the song, a new "Winter Mix," and a live rendition.

The single is the latest from Springsteen and the E Street Band's platinum-selling album "Magic," which surfaced in October and is the group's first new studio record since 2002's Grammy-winning "The Rising." The new set is vying for "Best Rock Album," "Best Rock Song" and "Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance" (for the single "Radio Nowhere") at next month's Grammy ceremony.

The Boss and company announced their 2008 US trek late last year, and will also tackle a European trek beginning May 22 with a three-night stand in Dublin. The jaunt also includes two-night stays in London; Gothenburg, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; and Barcelona, Spain. The band's full European tour itinerary is available at Springsteen's website.

The rockers will return to the road Feb. 28, when their North American outing gets under way in Hartford, CT. The 28-city run will crisscross the US and stop in the Canadian provinces of Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. Details are listed below.

A three-night grand finale for the international tour is planned to rock East Rutherford, NJ's Giants Stadium in late July. Springsteen has sold out venues at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, which also includes an arena, 66 times during the course of his career, including 51 times with the E Street Band.

Tickets are currently available for the majority of shows, with the exception of gigs in Hempstead, NY; Sacramento, CA; and Dallas, which go on sale Saturday (1/19), and San Jose, CA, which goes on sale Jan. 28.
