Rush slings more 'Arrows' in 2008
Canadian prog-rock vets Rush --who this year mounted a tour in support of "Snakes & Arrows," their first album since 2001--will keep the caravan rolling next year.
The group--whose 2007 tour is its highest-grossing to date--is mapping an itinerary that will take it to more than 40 cities throughout the US and Canada, including some where the band hasn't performed in well over a decade, according to a press release. Though dates and venues have not yet been announced, the group has confirmed plans to hit Orlando, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Austin, Jacksonville, Winnipeg, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Seattle, Boston, Washington and Charlotte.
The full itinerary will be unveiled in mid-January, according to tour promoter Live Nation.
Released in May, "Snakes & Arrows" debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart. The set--Rush's 11th Top 10 album in the US--features the cut "Malignant Narcissism," which recently was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category.
In its more than three-decade career, the band has sold more than 35 million records worldwide, according to a press release.
