Dates are starting to roll in for Lenny Kravitz 's "Get on the Bus with the Love Revolution Tour," which is expected to visit 10 cities across the US before the release of his new album.
The two-week jaunt is scheduled to launch Jan. 17 and currently has dates confirmed in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Maplewood, MN. Those gigs, which are detailed below, go on sale Saturday (12/15). Shows are also expected in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and Detroit.
Fans who won a contest at Kravitz's MySpace page will get to join him on the outing, riding in their own specially designed tour bus and receiving full backstage access.
Before the year is up, the rock-and-soul singer/multi-instrumentalist will appear at radio-sponsored Christmas shows in Phoenix and Sacramento, CA, and perform at New York City's Times Square for NBC-TV's "New Years Eve with Carson Daly."
He is also said to be mapping out plans for a more extensive tour following the Feb. 5 release of his eighth studio album, "It Is Time For a Love Revolution." The self-produced set, Kravitz's first album since 2004's "Baptism," has already spawned radio singles "Bring It On" and "I'll Be Waiting," both of which are streaming at his MySpace page.
"Love Revolution" will also be offered in a deluxe edition that includes a documentary in which Kravitz takes fans on a journey through the streets of his hometown, New York City, and discusses the inspirations behind the new album.
