3 Girls & Their Buddy collaborate on tour

Singers/songwriters Emmylou Harris , Patty Griffin , Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller will hit the road together for a run of January shows across the eastern US.

The "3 Girls & Their Buddy" tour will see all four artists collaborating together on stage and playing acoustic versions of their hits. The outing is set to visit 11 cities beginning Jan. 11 in Chattanooga, TN. Details are listed below.

Once the trek wraps, the performers will all set sail on the Feb. 4-10 Cayamo Cruise: A Journey Through Song, which leaves from Miami and stops in Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Other acts booked for the cruise include Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Edwin McCain, Shawn Mullins and Brandi Carlile. Further information is available at the cruise website.

In September, 12-time Grammy winner Harris released a 4-CD, 1-DVD career retrospective, "Songbird: Rare Tracks and Forgotten Gems," which features previously unreleased material, demos, studio tracks, collaborations and performance videos. Her next studio album is due in the spring, according to her website.

Griffin is supporting her February release, "Children Running Through," which earned the singer her highest-ever first-week sales totals. The set was recently nominated for a Grammy in the Contemporary Folk / Americana category.

Colvin's latest release, "These Four Walls," surfaced in the fall of last year. The set marked her first new album since 2001's "Whole New You" and her debut on Nonesuch Records. Earlier this year, the Grammy-winning folk-rocker also put out her own version of the Gnarls Barkley tune "Crazy," which is streaming at her MySpace page.

Americana singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer Miller continues to support his 2004 gospel-roots album, "Universal United House of Prayer."
