G. Love & Special Sauce continue to take their brand of blues-infused hip-hop across the US and beyond, with dates booked through next summer.
The band will start up again next week in California and play headlining gigs across the country through mid-February, with The Wood Brothers opening the majority of shows. G. Love will then join in on Florida's Langerado Music Festival in March before heading for Australia later that month and Europe in July. North American dates are listed below, while those overseas can be found at the group's website.
G. Love & Special Sauce have been touring the world to support their latest studio release, "Lemonade," which surfaced in the fall of last year. The 14-track set is the band's second effort for Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records and features a host of guests including Johnson, Ben Harper, Donovan Frankenreiter, Jasper, Dave Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Blackalicious, Tristan Prettyman and Marc Broussard.
Last summer, G. Love also put out a live CD/DVD collection, "A Year and a Night with G. Love & Special Sauce," which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the band's 13th year of touring. The 10-track CD captures a sold-out, two-night stand at New York City's Electric Factory, while the DVD comprises a one-hour documentary with 12 full-length performances and guest appearances from Prettyman, Broussard and Frankenreiter. A couple of songs from the set are streaming at G. Love's MySpace page.
The band is also featured on Brushfire Records' October compilation, "Thank You. Goodnight. Live Tracks from Bonnaroo and Vegoose."
Meanwhile, G. Love & Special Sauce have been spending time in the New England countryside this fall, recording new material for their next album.
