LONDON--Britpop heavyweights Radiohead had to cancel their show on Wednesday (6/14) due to heavy rain. The group was to perform at Theatre Antique in Vaison, France. However, ominous weather made them scupper the second gig of their European tour.
A statement on the band's official website says that tickets will be refunded, as the show will not be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, Oasis had to cancel its show at the Sportshalle in Hamburg, Germany, as singer Liam Gallagher was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. Tickets for that show will be valid for a rescheduled date, according to a statement on the band's official website.
In other Oasis news, Noel Gallagher claimed on Monday (6/12) in an interview with Britain's Radio 1 that his brother Liam was "losing it." Gallagher said, "It's me that's kept the band together for the six, seven years. It's not something that I've done lightly, but it's just been made impossible for me to--let alone be on the same stage--but be in the same room as [Liam]... I'll be doing the British dates, and then after that we've all got to sit down and have a chat, but at the moment, he's losing it."
