In the absence of an official announcement, a spokesperson for the group declined to comment on a potential 2008 tour.

Van Halen is in the midst of a semi-reunion tour that launched late last month and has been receiving mostly glowing remarks from reviewers and fans alike. The outing is the group's first in 22 years to feature original frontman David Lee Roth at the helm, but falls short of being a full-fledged reunion of the band's original lineup; prior to setting out on tour, the band's namesake brother duo--Alex and Eddie Van Halen--bounced founding bassist Michael Anthony in favor of Eddie's 16-year-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen.

Earlier this year, Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Anthony and former vocalist Sammy Hagar were the only two members to attend the ceremony; Eddie Van Halen was in a rehab facility at the time, while Alex and Roth chose to bow out.

Hagar, Anthony and Hagar's backing band, The Wabos, are in the midst of their own 60-date tour, which launched earlier this month and is slated to run until July of next year.
