Alt-rockers Against Me! have tacked a new American tour leg onto their late-year schedule as the band continues to squeeze its most recent studio release, July's "New Wave."
The Floridian punk/folk genre-benders are currently in the middle of their fall US trek, which tonight (9/14) brings them to Las Vegas, the first of 13 dates remaining before the band heads over to Europe for a tour of the Old World. Full information on the overseas dates can be found at the band's website.
Once the group lands back on this side of the Atlantic in November, it will bring the tour bus out of storage for another headlining trek, this one kicking off Nov. 3 in Asbury Park, NJ, and hitting 16 cities over a three week stretch. All dates for that outing (and Against Me!'s current slate) are included below.
The band worked with veteran hard rock producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) on the new album, its fourth studio effort and first since 2005's "Searching for a Former Clarity."
"I was blown away by the way they played the intensity and the reaction from the crowd," Vig said in the band's online bio. "The way the audience sings all the songs, I could see this passionate connection with their fans and the way the band communicates with them."
"Thrash Unreal," the first single from "New Wave," currently sits in the No. 16 spot on Billboard's Modern Rock/Alternative chart. The video for the song is streaming through the band's website, as well as YouTube.
