Hip-hop veterans Common and Q-Tip will share the same stages this fall as the two performers co-headline the third annual 2K Sports Bounce Tour.
The tour, which features a "next-gen videogame lounge" and a videogame tournament with "sick prizes" alongside the music, according to organizers, will launch Sept. 22 in Milwaukee and is scheduled to hit 15 cities.
Rappers 88-Keys and Percee P will open the shows, with "surprise guests" expected in various cities, according to the tour's promotional material. All dates for the tour are included below.
Common's seventh studio effort, "Finding Forever," hit stores in July and earned the rapper his first ever No. 1 album on The Billboard 200 chart, moving 155,000 copies in its first week alone.
"Finding Forever" was produced by Kanye West and features guests including British pop singer Lily Allen and soul man D'Angelo. The album, particularly the tracks "So Far To Go" and "The Game," is a tribute to the late rapper/producer J. Dilla, who died last year of complications caused by lupus, according to a press release.
Q-Tip's forthcoming new album, "The Renaissance," is due in early 2008 from the Universal Motown label, according to his publicist. The first single from the set, "WorkItOut," is currently available as a digital download through iTunes.
