Brad Paisley 's Bonfires and Amplifiers Tour is tearing up the road with sold-out shows, and more North American dates have just been added.
The current leg of country music outing launched last week, drawing more fans than the trek has seen to date. The July 19 show at Ohio's Jamboree in the Hills set a festival record with more than 40,000 fans in attendance, according to a press release. That was followed by sellouts in Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte, NC, which drew more than 18,000 and 19,000 fans, respectively.
The tour continues this week with sold-out gigs in Harrington, DE; Bethel, NY; and Hersey, PA. New cities added to the itinerary are Auburn Hills, MI; Lexington, KY; Charleston, WV; and Columbus, OH.
Special guests Taylor Swift and Rodney Atkins join Paisley on the current leg, which now stretches into December. Details are listed below.
Paisley is supporting his new album, "5th Gear," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 last month. The record earned the Grammy-nominated performer the highest first-week sales of his career, with more than 197,000 copies snatched up, according to a press release.
The set's first single, "Ticks," scored Paisley his eighth No. 1 and the video for follow-up single "Online" recently topped the iTunes sales chart, marking the first time a country song has ever topped the list, according to a statement. The video, which features celebrity guests including William Shatner and Jason Alexander, is streaming at Paisley's website.
"5th Gear" follows 2005's double-platinum "Time Well Wasted," which won Album of the Year at the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music award ceremonies.
