
Having finished off their obligations on the just-completed Honda Civic Tour, indie rockers The Academy Is... . have set up a headlining run of their own for the fall months.
The Chicago band--which is touring behind its most recent studio release, April's "Santi"--finished its two-month Honda Tour run with Fall Out Boy and +44 last night (7/2) in Anaheim. The group now gets a breather over the next couple of months before the "Sleeping With Giants" tour kicks off Sept. 5 in Milwaukee.
Armor for Sleep, The Rocket Summer and Sherwood will all be along for the massive run, which is due to land in more than 55 cities between early September and late November. The full schedule is included below.
"Santi," the sophomore release from The Academy Is ..., follows the group's 2005 debut, "Almost Here." The newer album debuted at No. 32 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving about 33,000 copies during its first week on store shelves, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures.
