Canadian rockers Nickelback , who launch their North American summer tour tonight (6/28), have rolled out a new batch of dates that will keep the group on the road through early September.
New to the band's itinerary is a full slate of August shows set throughout the US and Canada, with a lone September stop in Kansas City, MO, scheduled to cap the run. The new dates roughly double the band's previously announced tour schedule, which begins with Canadian festival appearances tonight and Saturday (6/28), followed by a packed calendar of July shows. Details are included below.
Joining Nickelback for most of the July concerts will be fellow rockers Staind and Daughtry . During the remainder of the tour, Puddle of Mudd , Daughtry, Yellowcard and Finger Eleven will take turns rotating through the opening slots. Specific show-opener information is posted at Roadrunner Records' website.
Nickelback continues to work the road behind its 2005 album, "All the Right Reasons," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart after moving about 317,000 copies during its first week in stores. The disc has gone on to sell more than 4 million copies in the US, and has spawned six No. 1 rock singles--"Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me," "Rockstar" and "Far Away"--according to Roadrunner.
