Ryan Adams continues to build steam behind his forthcoming studio album with the addition of a three-week summer tour following the disc's June release.
The singer/songwriter--who makes the next stop of his current outing Friday (6/22) inToronto--has tacked on nine new shows to his run, and leading up to an Aug. 3 concert in suburban Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The new shows kick off July 10 in Charlottesville, VA; the complete schedule is included below.
Pre-sale tickets are available for many of the upcoming shows to members of Adams' online fan club. See his official website for more information.
Due for release June 26, "Easy Tiger" is the performer's first studio effort since his prolific output of 2005, which saw the May release of a double album titled "Cold Roses" and the September release of "Jacksonville City Nights," both of which are credited to Ryan Adams & The Cardinals. A third set titled "29" followed in December of that year, and was billed as a solo set from Adams.
A track from the new album, simply titled "Two," is streaming at Adams's MySpace page. The page also displays the forthcoming album's cover art.
The Cardinals feature Neal Casal (guitar), Jon Graboff (steel guitar), Brad Pemberton (drums) and Catherine Popper (bass). Graboff took over for original steel-guitar player Cindy Cashdollar, who departed after recording "Cold Roses" with the group, and Casal replaced guitarist J.P. Bowersock, who split after the release of "Jacksonville City Nights."
