Bon Jovi
"Lost Highway"
(Mercury Nashville)
The New Jersey rockers reportedly travel down a country road on their ninth album of original tunes, "Lost Highway." Jon Bon Jovi and crew first dabbled in country-influenced material on 2005's platinum-selling "Have a Nice Day." That album spawned the Grammy-winning duet "Who Says You Can't Go Home" with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles.
The first single from the new album is "(You Want to) Make a Memory," which hit radio in March. Also, the record's title track can be heard in the film "Wild Hogs," and the tune "We Got it Going On"--a duet with Big & Rich--was tapped as the theme song for the new Arena Football League season on ESPN.
The band will hit the road to support "Lost Highway," with its next North American date set for July 7 at East Rutherford, NJ's massive Live Earth concert.
The White Stripes
"Icky Thump"
(Warner Bros.)
Jack and Meg are back and ready to drop their sixth studio release, which follows 2005's Grammy-winning "Get Behind Me Satan." The first single from "Icky Thump" is its title track.
The White Stripes--currently celebrating their 10th year as a band--are supporting the new album with a lengthy North American tour. The trek kicked off this past weekend at Manchester, TN's mammoth Bonnaroo Festival and, notably, will include stops in all 10 Canadian provinces, as well as the Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest territories.
Brad Paisley
"5th Gear"
(Arista)
The cowboy crooner's previous release, "Time Well Wasted," scored him the 2006 Country Music Association's Album of the Year award and was certified double-platinum. Paisley will now attempt to garner more acclaim and impressive sales figures by shifting things into "5th Gear."
The record features the single "Tick" as well as a collaboration with Carrie Underwood on "Oh Love." Paisley will spend most of the year backing "5th Gear" on the Bonfires & Amplifiers Tour.
Mandy Moore
"Wild Hope"
(Firm Music)
The multimedia star, who was recently seen on the big screen with Diane Keaton in "Because I Said So," is now set to focus her attention on the musical side of her career with "Wild Hope." Thus far, the New Hampshire-born, Orlando-raised performer has posted some impressive numbers on the music charts: since 1999, Moore has sold better than 7 million albums, thanks to hits like "Candy."
Lifehouse
"Who We Are"
(Geffen)
The pop/rock trio returns to action with a follow-up to its 2005 self-titled third album. The band is currently touring with fellow pop/rockers The Goo Goo Dolls.
