Country singer Sara Evans will work a slate of her own headlining dates around her intermittent support duties for Kenny Chesney 's Flip Flop Summer Tour.
The Nashville-based singer will kick off her own run of shows June 21 in Rockford, IL, with headlining dates scheduled for 18 cities through mid-September. Evans backed Chesney's June 9 appearance in Pittsburgh, and will do so an additional five times this summer, with the next opening date for the country megastar coming June 23 in Philadelphia.
Evans' full schedule, including dates with Chesney, is included below.
With no new studio album since 2005's "Real Fine Place," Evans teamed last year with the co-writers of her hit single "You'll Always Be My Baby" to produce a book based on the song. The book, co-authored by Tony Martin and Tom Shapiro, hit store shelves last November. In a press release, Evans termed it a "thank you to my fans" for standing by her during her recent marital problems.
The singer made news last October when she announced that she was filing for divorce from her husband, Craig Schelske. At the time, Evans also withdrew from her participation on ABC-TV's "Dancing With the Stars," citing the need to give her full attention to the couple's three children.
