Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams is gearing up for the late June release of his latest album, "Easy Tiger," with several performances that are set to take place immediately before and after the collection hits stores.
Adams, who recently dispensed with a brief run of shows in May, will climb back on the tour bus in mid-June with his backing band, The Cardinals, kicking off a seven-city swing June 18 in Minneapolis.
The singer has also lined up a Sept. 1 slot at upstate New York's moe.down festival, as well as an Aug. 3 headlining date at the Denver-area's Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Adams' full schedule is included below.
Due for release June 26, "Easy Tiger" is the performer's first studio effort since his prolific output of 2005, which saw the May release of a double album titled "Cold Roses" and the September release of "Jacksonville City Nights," both of which are credited to Ryan Adams & The Cardinals. A third set titled "29" followed in December of that year, and was billed as a solo set from Adams.
A track from the new album, simply titled "Two," is streaming at Adams' MySpace page. The page also displays the forthcoming album's cover art.
The Cardinals feature Neal Casal (guitar), Jon Graboff (steel guitar), Brad Pemberton (drums) and Catherine Popper (bass). Graboff took over for original steel-guitar player Cindy Cashdollar, who departed after recording "Cold Roses" with the group, and Casal replaced guitarist J.P. Bowersock, who split after the release of "Jacksonville City Nights."
