
Already set for a lengthy run as part of the Van's Warped Tour '07 bill, emo/hardcore outfit Funeral for a Friend will also launch a headlining tour in June behind a new studio album.
The 10-date outing kicks off June 12 in New York, and Alexisonfire , Emanuel and Fightstar will handle opening duties as the band chugs toward its first Warped appearance June 29 in Pomona, CA.
The Welsh band is scheduled to make 28 appearances with this summer's edition of the Warped Tour, a traveling festival that will hit 45 cities and feature more than 80 bands, including New Found Glory, Bad Religion and many others. Check the event's website for the full lineup and more information.
Funeral for a Friend's various summer commitments are detailed below.
The band's latest studio effort, "Tales Don't Tell Themselves," is set to hit stores May 15. The group worked with legendary indie producer Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) on the album, which follows 2005's "Hours."
The video for the album's first single, "Into Oblivion (Reunion)," is currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.
