Grammy-winning singer/pianist John Legend has added a new leg of dates to his tour with singer Corinne Bailey Rae , extending the trek through the month of May.
Legend and Rae will cover mostly Southwest and West Coast locations with the new dates, which are shown below. The tour, which kicked off in early April, is scheduled to resume Tuesday night (4/17) in Toronto.
Pre-sale tickets to upcoming shows are available through Legend's members-only fan-club site.
Legend continues to back his latest studio release, last October's "Once Again." , which sold more than 231,000 copies during its first week in stores and entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 3, according to Legend's publicist. The album peaked at No. 1 on the R&B Album chart and earned Legend a Grammy award in February for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance (for "Heaven"). Legend also shared a trophy with Joss Stone for Best R&B Performance By a Duo or Group with Vocals for their cover of Sly & The Family Stone's "Family Affair"
Legend had already won three Grammys for his 2004 debut album, "Get Lifted," which has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, according to a press release.
British newcomer Rae was nominated for three Grammys for her 2006 self-titled debut album: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
