Singer Diana Krall has announced the initial dates of a three-month summer tour as she continues to back her most recent album, last year's "From This Moment On."
The newly announced dates include the singer's first Las Vegas engagement, a June 14-17 run at the Hilton Theater, where she'll be backed by the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.
"Diana Krall is an incredible talent, and we're delighted that the Las Vegas Hilton will be the site of her Las Vegas debut," Ken Ciancimino, the resort's executive vice president, said in a press statement.
The Canadian songstress will kick off her summer trek June 8 in Oakland, CA. While the tour itinerary, included below, currently features only 12 dates--including the Vegas run--her website indicates that a number of shows will be added.
"From This Moment On," Krall's 11th studio album of a career that began with 1993's "Steppin' Out," hit stores last September. The album netted the singer a pair of Canadian National Jazz Awards earlier this month: Female Vocalist of the Year and International Musician of the Year.
The album also won the award for Best Jazz Album at this year's Juno Awards ceremony, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys.
