The Goo Goo Dolls are getting ready to kick off the second leg of their US tour, which will stop in cities all over the country through August.
The band began a world tour in February and wrapped the first leg April 1. It will pick up again April 20 in Lincoln, RI, and tour throughout the summer, including stints in the UK and Japan. US shows are listed below, while international dates can be found at The Goo Goo Dolls' website.
Once again, the Dolls are bringing USA Harvest on the road to collect and distribute canned food and goods for needy families in each market along the tour. Volunteers will be positioned outside venue entrances to take donations.
The Goo Goo Dolls continue to support their eighth studio album, "Let Love In," which was released a year ago. The set, produced by Glen Ballard, has scored several hit songs, including "Stay With You" and the title track, which are streaming at the band's MySpace page.
In February, a special-edition version of the album was released that includes a DVD with live performances, music videos and acoustic versions of the songs "Better Days" and "We'll Be Here (When You're Gone)."
In addition to touring, the Dolls have been building their own recording studio in their hometown of Buffalo, NY, according to a statement. Singer Johnny Rzeznik previously told a reporter that the studio is a not-for-profit project for friends, family and local talent.
