
Jimmy Buffett , Lenny Kravitz and Derek Trucks are teaming up with the Wynton Marsalis Septet for a May 14 benefit concert in New York City.
Dubbed "Spring Swing!," the event will raise funds for Jazz at Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit arts organization "dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for jazz through performance and education of the highest standard," according to a press release, which goes on to say that the organization produces nearly 1,000 education and performance events each year.

Brooks & Dunn, Kellie Pickler, Jo Dee Messina and Taylor Swift have all joined the roster of acts scheduled to perform at this year's CMA Music Festival in Nashville. As previously reported, the four-day event, which runs June 7-10, will feature 30 hours of autograph signings, 70 hours of live music, and 400 country artists and celebrities, according to organizers.
Glam-rock vets Poison have nailed down a June 5 release date for their first new album since 2002. Titled "Poison'd," the collection features cover versions of 13 songs, including new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers," as well as previously recorded covers including KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band" and Loggins and Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance."
Scottish rockers The View , who last month postponed a planned US tour, have now canceled the run outright.
"Due to continuing visa and immigration issues, Scotland's The View has regretfully been forced to cancel their May US tour dates," the group said in a press release issued today (4/3). "All tickets will be refunded. In addition, fans and tickets buyers should stay tuned for an exclusive song and special message from the band."
The View was gearing up to hit the road behind its upcoming album, "Hats Off to the Busker," which is scheduled to hit US shelves May 8. The US release will include three bonus tracks, according to the band's publicist.
