G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo [ tickets ]--real name Marvin Bernard--touched off a dust-up last weekend when he allegedly struck a 14-year-old boy who reportedly is the son of Czar Entertainment head Jimmy "The Henchman" Rosemond; the elder Rosemond manages G-Unit's The Game [ tickets ]. According to published reports, Bernard was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment for the March 24 incident, during which Bernard is accused of slapping and punching the minor in the ear and face.

Jeffrey Lichtman, Rosemond's lawyer, subsequently claimed in the press that G-Unit head 50 Cent ordered Yayo to carry out the assault. However, 50's lawyer, Benjamin Braman, has since issued a statement that claims 50 was not in the same state at the time of the incident, and that 50 may sue Lichtman for defamation.

Electro-rock duo Datarock [ tickets ] has calculated a June 12 release date for its debut album, "Datarock Datarock." The set--which the pair previously released in Norway, the UK and a few other countries--will include four new tracks and three music videos that don't appear on the foreign versions, according to a press release.

Fans looking forward to the release of "Anchored in Love: A Tribute to June Carter Cash [ tickets ]": the set has been rescheduled to hit the street June 5, two weeks earlier than originally planned.

Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley and Billy Bob Thornton are among the artists who will appear on the album. Produced by John Carter Cash--the only child of late country legend Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash--the set features the all-star cast performing songs "written by or associated with the beloved singer," according to a press release.
