Still riding high on its latest multi-platinum album, "Me and My Gang," country trio Rascal Flatts has already scheduled a release date for its new set.
In the midst of relentless touring, the band has squeezed in studio time with award-winning producer Dann Huff to record its yet-to-be-titled fifth studio album, which is due September 25.
Meanwhile, the Me and My Gang tour is still rolling with a few dates in March, April and August, including double shots in Kelseyville, CA, and Lake Tahoe, NV. Details are listed below.
Rascal Flatts played in front of more than 1 million fans in 2006 and wrapped the year as the best-selling artist across all genres of music, according to a press release.
When it was released in April, "Me and My Gang" debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 album chart, selling more than 721,000 copies and becoming the biggest debut of 2006. Songs from the set are streaming at Rascal Flatts' MySpace page and the video for the latest single, "Stand," is being previewed at the band's website.
In the six years since the release of its debut album, Rascal Flatts has sold more than 14 million records, according to a statement. The Grammy-award-winning trio's last two sets have been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Association of America.
The reigning Vocal Group of the Year for the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Television, Rascal Flatts is again up for a slew of honors at this year's award ceremonies. The group is vying for three trophies at next month's CMT Music Awards and six more at the ACM Awards in May.
