British indie-rockers Art Brut will play a few US shows in April to back the release of their new single, "Nag Nag Nag Nag," which is now available through iTunes.
The band has also announced that its second studio album, a still-untitled follow-up to 2005's "Bang Bang Rock and Roll," will be released in June.
The comedic London-based rockers will kick off their quick dash across North America April 17 in New York. The band will tackle five shows in five days, jetting across the continent to make good on its back-to-back commitments in Chicago and Los Angeles.
"Well, I wanted to call it 'Nag Nag Nag' but that had already been taken, obviously, by Cabaret Voltaire," singer Eddie Argos said of the new single in a recent interview with Artrocker magazine. "It's about, and it can't just be me, when I was younger and my parents had a go at me or I was in a bad mood, I'd put my Walkman on and go for a big long walk to sort myself out. And I was thinking about how much I did that--ignored my parents nagging me--and realizing that people who do that grow up funny. You miss something you should have been told because you weren't listening."
