From Autumn to Ashes plans trek with Haste the Day

From Autumn to Ashes will support its forthcoming album, "Holding a Wolf by the Ears, during a co-headlining jaunt with fellow rockers Haste the Day .

The two-month, hardcore outing kicks off March 6 in Buffalo, NY, and continues through April 19'. More dates are expected to be announced shortly. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, along with The Sleeping, open the March 6 through April 15 shows; Twelve Gauge Valentine and Alesana take over April 16 through May 5.

The tour marks the debut of From Autumn to Ashes' singer Francis Mark--who steps out from behind the drum kit to pull vocal duty--and an as-yet-unnamed new touring drummer. After fronting From Autumn to Ashes for six years, vocalist Ben Perri announced he was leaving the band just before he was scheduled to track the vocals for "Holding a Wolf By the Ears."

"Holding a Wolf By the Ears" is set for release April 10, but fans can get a jump on hearing the new music by picking up "These Speakers Don't Always Tell the Truth," a limited-edition EP available March 13 only at Hot Topic stores for $1.99. The CD features two tracks from the forthcoming album--"Deth Kult Social Club" and "Pioneers"--as well as a previously unreleased b-side, "Y2K."

Core members Mark, guitarist Brian Deneeve and bassist Josh Newton began writing and recording "Holding a Wolf by the Ears" in September. Brian McTernan (Thrice, Senses Fail) produced the set at his Salad Days studio in Baltimore.

The Christian metalcore band Haste the Day releases "Pressure the Hinges" March 20, and new songs from the album are streaming at its MySpace page. The band includes vocalist Stephen Keech, guitarist/vocalist Brennan Chaulk, guitarist Jason Barnes, bassist/vocalist Mike Murphy and drummer Devin Chaulk.
