My Chemical Romance expands 'Black Parade' tour

My Chemical Romance has added a second leg to its extensive US tour supporting its gold-certified album "The Black Parade."

The theatrical alt-rock band is set to launch the outing Feb. 22 in Manchester, NH, with Rise Against supporting.

When the first leg wraps March 16, My Chemical Romance will jet to Europe for dates in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark from March 20 to April 10. Then the group will be back in the US for a second run of dates--this time with Muse in the opening slot--beginning April 14 in Houston, TX, and wrapping May 22 in Portland, OR. US dates are listed below; international shows can be found at the band's website.

MCR, which is just finishing the Big Day Out festival tour in Australia and New Zealand, will also slot in a couple more festival dates on its spring run. The band is scheduled to headline the first day of the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ, on May 5, and will play the Virgin Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 20.

"The Black Parade" was released in October and debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart. Videos for the album's first two singles, "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "Famous Last Words," are streaming at My Chemical Romance's MySpace page.

The latest album follows 2004's double-platinum "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge." MCR also released a 2 DVD/CD package, "Life on the Murder Scene," last March. One DVD chronicles the band's history and a second comprises music videos and live performances.
